High Sierra Prime Timers -- Reno was founded in early 2000. We are a chapter of Prime Timers Worldwide; a social group that provides opportunities for mature Gay/Bisexual men and their young admirers to meet and socialize.  The Biggest Little City in the World has activities to suit every taste. We are a bustling city of 200,000 which operates 24 hours a day. Casinos are just one of the great things in Reno.  We have Gay/Bisexual organizations, excellent bars and night clubs, and fantastic restaurants to suit your tastes. Lots of live Arts and Theater, and, if the outdoors is your thing, then this is the place.  Beautiful Lake Tahoe is just 40 minutes away with all its manly activities; hiking, skiing, boating, biking, etc. Plus, there are many first class golf courses in the Reno/Tahoe area which operate year round. Major events occur here annually; the National Championship Air Races, the Great Balloon Race, the Best in the West Rib Cook Off, the Reno Rodeo (the wildest, richest Rodeo in the West), the Tour de Nez bicycle event, and kayaking, yes, kayaking right in downtown Reno.  In October 2007, HSPT hosted the Prime Timers Worldwide Convention. In addition to Reno's many on-going activities, over 350 partying members enjoyed bus tours of Virginia City, (the famous Comstock Lode), attended workshops and lectures on gaming, ceramics, and opera, and danced the night away after a sumptuous banquet. A well provisioned Hospitality Suite provided by World Wide, and the Toronto and Las Vegas clubs, gave our visitors ample opportunity to mingle and meet. From the feedback we have received, it was one of the most successful World Wide Conventions   We urge you to visit us in Reno whenever you can.
